Carlos Santana formed the Santana Blues Band in 1967 at the height of San Francisco's psychedelic scene and brought a unique mix of Latin fusion and blues-rock to the local Ballroom circuit. After performing at Woodstock to ecstatic reviews, they released their debut album which yielded the hit single "Evil Ways." The following year they released their #1 album Abraxas, with the #4 single "Black Magic Woman." Santana has won eight Grammy Awards, and the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
