Jeff Carr, eccentric chronicler of the urban subconscious, opens a window onto his dreamlike visions of violence and entertainment in his exhibition of recent paintings at the D. King Gallery.

Carr draws on a peculiarly personal iconography to create brightly patterned canvasses dotted with bowling pins and human hearts and populated by poodles, clowns with guns, and Mexican wrestlers.

A uniquely American artist, Carr symbolically greets us with an anxious smile and treats us to a multi-cultural landscape which is both thought provoking and unforgettable.

The exhibition opens June 19 and runs through July 19.

A reception for the artist will be held on June 19th from 6-9pm.
